Description

These tiny bees, less than half a millimeter in size, find pest eggs by flying and searching, and after examining the egg and making sure that it has not been previously parasitized by another bee, they lay their eggs inside it, in fact, destroying the pest in its first stage of life. The efficiency of this bee is so high that they are released on millions of hectares in different countries around the world.

How to release Trichogramma bees:
These bees are packaged in special cards called 0.02 gram trichocards containing about 1,000 bee pre-pupae in the pre-pupae stage. In most of the crops covered, three release stages are carried out for each pest generation, which are timed according to the peak egg-laying of the pest moths (through trapping).

First stage: When the first moths are seen in the traps, releasing 50 Tricocards per hectare at equal intervals. Second stage: At the peak of moth egg laying, releasing 100 Tricocards per hectare. Third stage: 10 days after the second stage, releasing 50 Tricocards per hectare.
